Telmi project: Let’s talk about Climate Change
Children are the future and their voices should be heard a lot more!
At Telmi, we’re all about empowering kids’ voices. This time we ask what kids think about climate change.
Samudra Oceans (seaweed farming solution) is teaming up with Telmi (storytelling platform for kids) to produce a series of videos featuring children talking about CLIMATE CHANGE. The videos will be shared publicly in conferences and in social channels.
To apply for your child to be featured, here is what you need to do:
1. Invite your child to watch the videos below to stimulate their interest!
2. Film! 📱Here are a few tips:
with your smartphone, film in portrait, find a quiet spot, avoid backlighting
They are welcome to talk freely but it might help them if you use these questions to interview them:
What do you want to do when you are 20years old?
Do you talk about climate change at school? What do you know about it?
Why is it important to care about the environment ?
Do you like the oceans? Why?
Do we have to protect the oceans? Why?
Did you know that seaweed could capture up to 20x more carbon than terrestrial trees? How does that make you feel?

Can Seaweed save the planet?
Seaweed, like underwater plants, is a hero in the ocean. It catches a lot of 'bad stuff' called carbon, much more than the trees on land. So, since Seaweed can capture up to 50x more carbon than terrestrial trees, it’s an exciting solution in both the climate and nature emergency. Sustainably farmed seaweed is food, feed, biomaterial, and a habitat for biodiversity.
